Well the answer to my question about getting basic nat running was this:

iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -o eth0 -j MASQUERADE

and of course the ol' echo 1 to ip_forward.

I'm just real new to iptables and I hope this list turns out to be a good=

resource.
