I had to go delete all files in /var/yum/cache manually. For some reason they were not being deleted by the clean command. well that didn't work. The system said it installed sudo..but didn't. sudo is not on the machine. Hi, http://wiki.linux.duke.edu/YumFaq#Q5 This sounds like the classic proxy problem. Are these boxes on the same network or a different one? Does one sit behind a proxy? Regards, Greg
proxies are bypassed..one machine works the other doesn't. i'll try turning it off totally since maybe the bypass isn't working. DANG! Ok time to yell at firewall vendor the proxy bypass wasn't working. sorry for hte wasted time. Looks like from now one the first hting i need to look at is my firewall. I would say the first thing to look at is the product FAQ and/or Google for the error, but to each their own. Greg
Since my other Centos 4 box works fine how can i fix this issue? William Warren wrote: > well that didn't work. The system said it installed sudo..but didn't. > sudo is not on the machine.
